Organising partner: ‘Por Qué No?’, Paris

24 and 25–29 March 2026,
Prenzlauer Promenade 149–152, 13189 Berlin

An intensive workshop for anyone who wants to delve deeper into the musical world of tango and learn more about playing in an Argentine tango orchestra.

Together with Carmela Delgado, Pablo Murgier and Cécile Mons, participants will analyse the language of tango. In small groups they will rehearse pieces from the repertoire of the great orchestras as well as new compositions. The sheet music will be sent to participants two months before the course begins.

Do you already play in a chamber music ensemble or would you like to try playing tango in a smaller ensemble? Then the workshop on 24 March is just right for you. Pablo, Carmela and Cécile offer special coaching for smaller ensembles on this day – and on other days if desired.

Instruments
The course is aimed at players of typical tango orchestra instruments: piano, bandoneon, double bass, cello, viola and violin – but also unusual instruments for tango orchestra like flute, clarinet, harmonica and other wind instruments, guitars or accordion are welcome.

Requirements
Musicians of all levels are welcome to participate, but a basic knowledge of music notation is required.
